June: football, explanations and pimp post

Ok, since I've been an HORRIBLE, totally UNFORGIVABLE LJ friend lately, I have some explanations to do. Sort of.
Feel free to cut me off whatever list you have if you're disappointed of me.
But I surely hope you don't do that, d'uh. Mostly because I've been caught up in RL, and had a lot of troubles in family so if you think this is just another random excuse..I don't honestly care.
I have indeed had a few problems and they're most definitely far from being over so I won't be around that much from now on as well.
Enough with the pity part of this post.

I'm here to pimp something. I know I haven't posted any birthday wishes on my lj so far, for anybody. Of course I wished HB to anyone on my flist on their journals so far but since I knew I couldn't be around on regular basis I thought it could be pretty lame of me post for someone's birthday and don't post for some other's. I don't really like double standards, so I rather don't post at all. (I'm positive I'll do it next year though)
But, there's a but. Joanne (

joannwithane) has been cute enough to make a birthday pimp-post for Sarah (

dorkfish04) this morning and I couldn't help myself from doing it myself.
So here it goes..

JUST for you Sarah! Happy Birthday sweetie! *hugs*

Oh and apart from that..GO ITALY! *dances*
Yes, I'm talking about EURO2008, the European football champioship.
Yesterday night we kicked French football team's ass and sent them all home, I'm sure they're licking their wounds right now. Not that I really care. I'm not that fond of French people in general (cause they've been so mean to me when I was there) and I definitely loathe Domenech with all my heart for being such a lame little jackass. So there. Italy passes, France goes home. That's it. End of story.
And just because I always wanted it, but never got my ass into buying it..i just bought Italy's official team shirt *yay* and a couple of Euro shirts for my parents too, on the Euro 2008 official site.

That's all. I'm off to lunch!

So good to hear from you hun, I was wondering where you were. Sorry to hear about your family trouble, I hope everything will be ok soon (or in the near future) and that you'll be able to be around lj again when it's all better. *hugs*

Yay for winning! I watched the game, it was great. I'm not that fond of French people either tbh, so I was rooting for you guys (though I must say I did feel a bit bad about the Frenchies, they seemed to fall completely apart after Ribery was injured). Next up is Spain, that should be an interesting game. I like both teams (Oh, Iker Casillas...*dreamy sigh*), so not sure who I'll be rooting for. Good luck! :) (I'd love to see a pic of you in that shirt, hee!)

I kind of have HUGE issues with my mom lately. Big fights, a lot of pain and I'm seriously sick of it now.

Aww I know it was an awesome match wasn't it?
Honestly I felt bad for Ribery getting injured, and yes he's kind of the playmaker for the French team so with him out of the way the whole team went nuts.

Don't tell me about Spain. That match is going to be a tough one! Fernando Torres vs Luca Toni, I mean..honestly? I LOVE them to death, particulary Fernando. LOL But I guess my heart'll stay with my country after all.

Aww, I'm sorry your mother is giving you trouble. :( I hope you can both get past it eventually.
Yay for being patriotic! Although you have a Torres icon and no icons of Italian players? *gasp* Go upload some now! lol :P Lots of good luck to your team tonight!! (and if you win, you better make it to the finale and beat Germany, I like you guys better! :P)

I know, I know..it's kind of a 'good luck' rite, or something.
I just uploaded one today, to wish my boys all the best for the match, even though I have to confess Im a little skeptical over actually using it. LOL
Aww I surely hope we'll make to the final (my dad is 100% positive we'll make it), butfirst things first..beat down Spain LOL

PS: I'm going to paint my face up for tha match too. I'll have my mom taking me a picture, so you'll see me in my bright 'GO ITALY' style very soon I guess.

Oh my god, lol, I MUST see that!! How awesome! I've always wanted to paint my face like that, but I haven't had a really good reason to do so though because my team sucks, lol. :P Looking forward to seeing that pic! :D

Aww, I'm sorry for you guys! I was thinking about you during the penalty shots - which I loathe, btw - it was so close! This sucks for you, but hey, you had a good tournament overall and you're still the world champs, so...that's something, no? *tries to see the half glass full*

*sighs* I know..penalty shots are just the most cruel way to end up a match.
I'm honest, we didn't play our match that well, they did it better and they won.
There's no point denying it.
Toni didn't know what he was doing and Del Piero can't save a match in 5 minutes, even if he's an awesome player.
My dad saw me crying on the carpet, still in front of the TV and said 'well..we'll have to cheer for Spain now, so that if they win we can say we lost aganst the European champs'.
I was like.'Ehr..what?'
He's way much an easy person than I am.
Even if, I have to say..on the bright side I'll get to see more of Fernando now, right?
Still..it hurts. Pretty bad.

Penalty shots are so random, it's all about luck and not about who's the better team. And they always give me a mini heart attack when I watch them. Bah!
Spain wasn't all that good either, definitely not as good as they were in early rounds, but yes, I admit I did think they were a bit better than Italy.
Aww, I'm sorry you were crying!! *hugs* I'd like to tell you not to cry, but I almost always cry when my teams lose an important match, so I can relate.
LOL My dad and I always say that kind of things. Like yesterday, we wanted The Netherlands to win, but they lost to Russia. We were in the same group with Russia (and Croatia, but they're not in the competition anymore...) in the qualifying campaign, so my dad said that hey, at least we can say we didn't qualify because we were in the same group with a team that made it to the semi finals. lol. That said, I'm still gonna root for Spain in the semis.
Yes, more Torres, concentrate on that! If you had to lose to someone, then at least it was to his team and at least it wasn't a shameful defeat, you gave a good game and managed to drag it out to penalty shots.

mi dispiace sentire che hai problemi in famiglia tesò ma spero che siano cose che si possono risolvere facilmente.... per l'assenza, credo di farti compagnia :D anch'io ultimamente sn latitante ovunque e le persone tra un pò mi daranno per dispersa.... un pò per gli esami, un pò perchè anch'io ultimamente non ho passato un bel periodo dopo la morte di mia nonna. ma l'importante è tornare e sapere che qualcuno c'è sempre ad attenderti no???
per gli europei, devo dire che sono stata felicissima quando l'italia ha battuto la Francia martedì.... evvai ^_^
ora speriamo bene con la francia

Mi spiace per la tua nonna *hug* la mia è stata parecchio male ad aprile ricoverata in ospedale e le era appena morta una sorella, credimi ti capisco.
